Being a trader I use B&Q regularly. But feel there staff members are not coping well with covid19 restrictions in the kirkcaldy store in particular. Today I was in getting some cable. Was looking for clips and couldn't find them so l approached one of the assistants . Known that I have to keep my distants I asked the Q as i approached her. Her two hands went up in shocked like fashion while saying can you stay back covid19 distancing sir. I said am 10 ft from you and your bedhind a screen plus she had a plastic fsce covering like myself. Im sure she was in no danger. I said just point Me in the right direction and al find it. Its at electrical was her reply. Well they werent as i found them elsewhere in store. She shouldn't be working if her fear of covid19 is making her this way towards customers.

If I could give 0 stars I could.Last November I visited the plant section at the very end of the working day (Sunday). It wasn't too well lit. I was walking along the displays looking at the plants and as I got to the end of the section, I turned left, whilst still looking at the plants, to go back down the other side. Directly as I turned left, I fell over some breeze blocks on the floor. During the fall, I badly hit and scraped my left shin and ankle on the blocks and landed on my right knee and outstretched hands, narrowly missing hitting my head on another set of blocks. I sought and received first aid in the store. At the time, the area where I fell was inspected by the staff; I was advised by the duty manager that the shelf which would normally have been across the breeze blocks (which would then have had plants on it) had been removed for cleaning but not put back; she was very clear that the blocks shouldn't have been left without the shelf. I was advised that I would receive a call the next day to see how I was and would in the near future be advised as to the outcome of the investigation into the incident. The next day I had to stay off work due to the amount of pain I was in. I did receive a perfunctory call that day where I advised the caller I had had to stay at home, that I was in significant pain and had bruising and swelling coming out. Over the next few weeks, I continued to be in significant pain with my shin, which was bruised and swollen the length of the bone, my ankle which was bruised and painful, my knee which was cut (I have a scar now) and bruised, my right wrist was painful. I also developed pain in my clavicle bone (I have sought medical help with the latter and was advised the injury to my clavicle bone was consistent with falling onto an outstretched hand- I am currently awaiting physiotherapy for this injury). After that, weeks and weeks went by without another word from B&Q. I contacted them and it was clear there was no intention of contacting me again. I said I wanted to make a formal complaint but it wasn't easy establishing how I could do so. I did make a formal complaint and I was astonished to receive the outcome that the fall was my own fault because the blocks were visible. I pointed out that the fact I had fallen over the blocks demonstrated they weren't visible to me in addition to reminding them that the duty manager had said the blocks should not have been left without the plank. I am now left with no option other than to instruct legal advice which I will be doing. B&Q have now lost themselves a customer (I used to shop there frequently) and I am advising as many people as possible about the appalling treatment I have received from them.

B&Q Skegness Walked into this store asked a boldly old guy if he could help me with the plumbing section . Reply were no and pointed down where to go . Asked a woman there that had just finished with talking to a customer. Reply busy and walked off . So I took it on myself to tell her and the staff your supposed to help customers that come in to store..ask for help that’s your job not to stand around talking to other staff not doing your job . Your paid to help customers. After my rant some darky guy John came over that knew about plumbing stuff ,where to find what I were looking for.. he took me straight to it ..after lining my plumbing stuff all on the floor what had been used to match what I needed. I said to John will be reporting your other staff ..But thank-you for your help . Feel that B&Q staff Skegness need more training .

If I could give a no star review I would. Totally disgusted with the way we have had our kitchen order handled. Ordered various kitchen doors, end panels, cornice, pelmets etc. So far I have received 3 doors out of 12. Pelmets, Cornice and plinths are missing. When ordering online all of our order was IN STOCK. No correspondence from B&Q. I was told my order was with another courier company yet they have no tracking information for me. Now today 3rd call to customer service they say I have to wait 72 hours until they can reorder what we have already paid for. I am a trade account holder and have never been so disgusted in my life. How can in stock items not be in stock. I would avoid this company for any online purchases. I will never be using them again.

I naively assumed a company like B and Q would know how to sell and deliver items. But I was wrong. What I ordered arrived in a totally different colour. Then came the nightmare of trying to access anything, anything at all, on their diy.com website. Nothing works. On a sister website there was no contact information and the support phone line proudly announced it would cost £6 a minute. Going to the actual local store today resulted in me being told the items in question, indeed the entire line, was "discontinued". But they didn't say that on the website, and still do not - it's still being advertised today. Of course, no store within 100 miles carries the stock. Their email invoice is of course a "no-reply" one and I have no way of getting a refund or replacement. I am disgusted with it all. In particular, who runs a business website where the entire site refuses to load and comes up with either "cannot load this page" or "page not found" or "sorry we cannot find the page you were looking for"?

The service in store was first class. The delivery service was very poor. Firstly they delivered the wrong kitchen cabinet door then having to wait another week on a replacement I sat in the house whilst losing work in the process to find my delivery not appeared. No contact from B&Q to let me know there was an issue and when I tried to call the phone number it was out of their office hours even though the delivery was supposed to be still ongoing. I think they should keep the phone lines open until the last delivery is completeThis is just my opinion after my experience.

B&Q Coatridge what an absolute disaster this store has become after spending 20 minutes in a queue it took over 25 minutes to get out the carpark tempers were flying ,,, one person on the trade counter till.. 2 people on the main tills the entrance to this place is a disaster with the opening of Costa and burger King something has to be done about the entrance one small narrow road to accommodate these very busy shop /store i for one will not be shopping there again PEOPLE AVOID THIS STORE ....

Diall - Diall White Aluminium Self-adhesive Draught excluder, (L)1m MINUS 10 STARSDO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, IT IS COMPLETE RUBBISH.Tried to add review to their website but they did not allow me.

I often shop at B&Q in person, and despite the poor staff training and general lack of customer service, I normally find them ok. However, during the pandemic I have tried to get products delivered or use click and collect through the website and the experience was truly terrible. The first issue being that the tiles I wanted were marked as 18 being in stock, however, when I came to check out, I was told that there was no stock for delivery, and would I like to switch to click and collect, where I was told there was no stock again. I checked the website again - in case someone else had bought the tiles - but no, still showing 18 in stock. I then went on the Wicked website and ordered the tiles with no issue. I went ahead with the rest of the order for my tiling project (grout, adhesive, waterproofing kit) only to be told the night before delivery that some of it was unavailable! For god's sake B&Q, sort your stock out! Two failures for the same order - and despite apologising for any inconvenience, it's pretty inconvenient when I am supposed to be tiling the shower this weekend to have no tiles and no waterproofing kit - I now need to go elsewhere to be able to do it. You can't do it when you B&Q it, I should have gone elsewhere for the whole order.

Website states isle 5 and 3 in stock. However, wrong isle and none in stock. What is the point of consulting the website when it is so wrong. A wasted journey.

Purchase some timber moulding from Clifton moor store at the weekend, had to check through a number first, as a lot we’re not machined properly at the ends, on returning home one of these moulding had come apart from the long length, these had been joined like that, so had a few joints along the length. Reported to customer service with email and pictures, a complete waste of my time, as said to return to store for replacement, not able to complete job due to this, what is the point of customer service ?

we use B&Q a lot when we are buying product for our self i do not bother asking staff for advice firstly its hard to to find one so i just keep to branded names and when you visit a b&q stores regularly you get to know the floor lay out and do not need them it was not the first time i have seen a member of staff getting confused when a customer has asked for advice and staff members do not know how to assist them in the products and material they are trying to purchase even when they try and enter a product on there hand held device they still cant find anything and wonder what they would be like selling Lego or Lego to advanced by today standards ???????

Awful customer service - the company did not honour their warranty commitments and for a sub standard product. We made the mistake of purchasing some very expensive flooring that is not fit for purpose - apparently it came with a ten year guarantee - but despite a litany of issues B&Q will not honour their obligations. Avoid making any big purchases with B&Q because if something goes wrong or the product is faulty - they wash their hands of any obligation.
